5th Annual Fundraiser – Friday, August 17 at 6:00 p.m.

The secret is out! Plans are underway for our garden themed 5th Annual Affair to Remember. Our Silent and Live Auction Fundraiser will be held on Friday, August 17 at 6:00 p.m. Please mark your calendar now and plan to support the best homegrown theater in the foothills! Camelot Opening Night $10

Due to popular response at our last production, Imagination Theater is once again offering tickets for $10 for the opening show of Camelot on Friday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m..  Get your tickets early as this show is expected to sell out.   Tickets can be purchased online or by phone (530-642-0404).

Peter and Karen's Big Adventure

Ever wanted to bicycle across the United States?  Peter and Karen Wolfe will be embarking on this journey in April.  The trip is set to begin April 18th from La Jolla, CA and end on July 4th at York Town,VA.  To keep up with their adventures, follow their blog to join with them on their journey.

New York City Trip - Informational Meeting on Feb. 29 at 6:00 p.m.

Interested in getting a taste of The Big Apple? A meeting is scheduled for February 29 at 6:00 p.m. for a trip being planned for September 2013. The trip is six days and five nights and includes airfare, hotel accommodations, three Broadway shows, tour of NBC Studios, Radio City Music Hall, Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island, tour of Theatre District, and much more. Breakfasts and some dinners are included and a professional guide will be with us in the city. LOT O' SHAKESPEARE to be found at ORHS

This may be of interest to Shakespeare aficionados out there: Timothy Mooney, a renowned actor and author, will be performing at Oak Ridge High School with his one man show, LOT O' SHAKESPEARE on Tuesday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m. He performs one monologue from every Shakespeare play Bingo -Style, the audience participates with "IAGO" cards and crossing out particular monologues as they are selected at random. The audience member who shouts out "IAGO" first wins a t-shirt. It will be a fun, high energy show. Tickets $10. To reserve tickets please call (916) 947 - PLAY (7529). Limited seating.

Camelot Tickets Available Now

King Arthur nervously prepares to meet his new Queen, Guinevere. While initially, Guinevere tries to escape the marriage, the two young people soon fall in love, to the pleasure of Arthur's wise tutor, Merlyn. In order to bring upon peace and stability in the kingdom, Art...hur establishes the Knights of the Round Table. Included amongst these knights, is the most famous of them all, Lancelot. Soon, Lancelot and Queen Guinevere fall in love. Their affair is brought public with the help of Arthur's evil illegitimate son Mordred and his aunt, the sorceress Morgan le Fey. As a result, peace ends and war breaks out in as Arthur's troops fight Lancelot's French army.  Tickets are on sale now for this regal musical.  Tickets are $17 Adults, $14 Seniors, and $10 Children and can be purchased online, by phone (530-642-0404), or at the door.  Group tickets are by phone only and start at 10+ people. 

Imagination Theater is excited to present The Secret Garden in September.  Auditions are coming up in April.  To prepare for this, please consider following the director's blog, signing up for the audition workshop (especially if you are new to the theater), checking out a script (call the office first to make sure we have a copy), and listening to the music on YouTube from the Broadway Musical.  Tickets for this show go on sale later this spring.

As we have auditions coming up for The Secret Garden and The Little Princess this spring, we decided to have a audition workshop to help people prepare and get ready for the stage!  This free workshop is for those age 10+ and is for adults too!

• preparing a monologue

• cold script reading tips

• improvisation

• preparing songs

• dressing for audition success
