Old West Trio Benefit Concert - Friday March 8
Thank you for your support of live, community theater in Placerville and El Dorado County. To keep our theater thriving, we have a benefit concert with the Old West Trio, scheduled this Friday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. Seating is reserved and tickets are available for $15.
"These guys make me want to hit the dusty trail and ride off into the setting sun. Leave the rat race behind with "Ridin' Back to Yesterday" or get lost in an Autry movie with "I Want to Live Out West." Gaze into the crimson glow of a campfire after a hard day on the trail with "Prairie Nights." It's nice to know there is new Western music still being written." says The Lone Prairie Rider.
The Old West Trio is a western music group composed of Steve Ide (rhythm guitar), Steve Johnson (lead guitar), and Leslie Ide (upright bass). They are members of the Western Music Association and co-founders of Scofield's Cowboy Campfire at the Red Mule Ranch. Expect to hear some amazing cowboy songs. Find a sample here: http://www.oldwesttrio.com/music.php
Also slated to perform is McAvoy Layne preserving the wit & wisdom of "The Wild Humorist of the Pacific Slope," Mark Twain. McAvoy is the ghost of Samuel Clemens in A&E's biography of Mark Twain, and in the Discovery Channel's Cronkite Award winning documentary, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. He is a winner of the Nevada award for excellence in school and library service, and author of a soon to be published memoir, Becoming Mark Twain.
Whether or not you are able to join us for this event, we hope you will continue to support YOUR local, community theater. We would not be here with out YOU!
Thank You,
