2011 Fundraiser New Location! Need Items!
May 2011
Dear Imagination Theater Supporters, Sponsors, and Friends:
Imagination Theater is excited to hold our fourth annual Silent and Live Auction, An Affair to Remember on Friday, August 19 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at a new location—the Smith Flat House, located on Smith Flat Road. Please join us for a wedding themed evening of food, wine, and desserts from local businesses. The reception features the cast from our September production, Father of the Bride.
We want to make this event as successful as possible and with your help it can happen. This is our major fundraiser so your support is greatly appreciated. We are a non-profit, 501(c)3 corporation and our tax I.D. # is 680448569. Your financial support or product donation is a tax deduction. The money raised will help toward our outreach programs in the community as well as workshops and theater improvements.
We also hope you will attend and bring your friends and family. Grab that bridesmaid dress or tuxedo in your closet and join us for this fun-filled event. We have already started receiving some unique and interesting auction items, and we look forward to including your donation in the mix!
All contributors will be given recognition in the auction program. Thank you in advance for your help. We hope to see you on August 19. If you have any questions related to this event, please contact Lanny at (530) 903-6361.

We're primarily interested in LIVING ROOMS, but are open to bedrooms or other bonus rooms! Space must be fairly large & visually interesting (structurally, architecturally). Must have interesting pieces (furniture or other)!
Selected participants get an awesome room makeover (valued at thousands of dollars) AND will be featured on an HGTV show! MUST be open to 'out-of-the-box' design ideas & live within LA county.**
*Renters must obtain permission from property owner BEFORE applying. **Preferred Locations: Beach Cities (Redondo, Hermosa, Manhattan, Marina Del Ray, Venice, Santa Monica), Culver City, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, central LA, Century City, Westwood, Brentwood, Inglewood, Los Feliz, Echo Park, Silver Lake. However, we are open to other areas.
If you'd like to submit, you MUST:
- Email to 3clcasting@gmail.com (don't just reply to this). Include your first/last name and city in the subject line. Example: Jane & John Doe, Culver City.
- In the body of your email, you must include:
Your name (include names of all applicants & your relationship), contact info (cell, home, etc) & complete address, including your neighborhood/area.
Confirm you own your home or have received permission to participate from property owner (verifiable).
Type & size of room. Include condition of flooring & big furniture.
List all indoor/outdoor pets.
Brief description of applicants, what you do for a living (& for fun) and what makes you unique! Sell your personality!
3-4 wide photos of the space featuring different angles, AS IT IS NOW!
Note cool collections, interesting pieces, ANYTHING STRUCTURALLY OR ARCHITECTURALLY INTERESTING (include condition). If you have special or meaningful items, tell us what & why.
CURRENT photos of applicants (big personality)!
Parking situation (nearby lot, permit only, big driveway, etc), general neighborhood - we need space to off-load trucks!
Photos & size of front yard, back yard, driveway. We do projects in the yard, so it helps to understand access & dimensions. It's great to have a visually interesting outdoor space to work in.
Additional Notes:
Homeowners must be willing to appear on camera & provide strong opinions about their likes/dislikes as it relates to design. The show features imaginative room makeovers reflecting a variety of styles that appeal to design-savvy viewers. Our designers & contractors "do" the work. Homeowners do NOT pay for anything! The professionally designed room will include thousands of dollars in materials & labor. This isn't about shopping showrooms, but it IS about getting a cool, sophisticated look that is customized to the homeowners needs, personalities and tastes.
It'd be great to have a few pieces of furniture to work with! We'd like to feature favorite items (special to you) or something personal you want to work into the room!
Best wishes!
